    Very ,very nice Zhi.
    The figure in that walnut is fantastic.
    And adding the columns on the fronts just finishes it off.
    I too would like a little more detail on the fluting on the columns.

    Absolutely great desk, I'd love to have it to replace my store bought, veneered particle board.

    BTW, as for the photo work you can always fix it after the fact with Photoshop or a freeware equivalent (GIMP) rather than trying to get the lighting perfect for the actual photo. It has helped me on a number of my photos.

    Zhi, great job and an interesting post! Good detail on the construction. I like the design elements, combining the lathe work, the flutes, figured panels - the whole thing!! Excellent!
