Very ,very nice Zhi.
The figure in that walnut is fantastic.
And adding the columns on the fronts just finishes it off.
I too would like a little more detail on the fluting on the columns.
Thanks for the look see.
Fantastic. AND with my favorite wood! Just beautiful...
I drink, therefore I am.
Wonderful, like the way you got the most out of the figured portions.

Absolutely great desk, I'd love to have it to replace my store bought, veneered particle board.
BTW, as for the photo work you can always fix it after the fact with Photoshop or a freeware equivalent (GIMP) rather than trying to get the lighting perfect for the actual photo. It has helped me on a number of my photos.
Zhi, great job and an interesting post! Good detail on the construction. I like the design elements, combining the lathe work, the flutes, figured panels - the whole thing!! Excellent!
Outstanding!!
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.
Wow, Zhi! That is amazing work. I really love your panels!
Very nice craftsmanship, and I love the look of the walnut.
Beautiful work!
What finish did you apply to it!
FANTASTIC WORK! Your desk looks great.
