Wow. I don't think I would get any work done on that desk. I would get lost in the beauty of the thing. Wonderful job.

Good design... excellent craftsman-ship and the grain is just fantastic IMO on the Walnut. Extra credit designing and accomplishing an L shape to make it look as if one.

    Extremely well done...

Unquestionably, this is one of the best projects I have ever seen ! I hope you saved all the jigs and fixtures you made for the projects, so that you can re-produce easily if needed. I think you should talk local furniture stores for retailing this desk.

Zhi - I would love to ask a few questions about this project through PM, but for some reason I can't send out PMs but I can receive and reply to one I get.

  8. Very nice, it's almost a crime to place those front panels against the wall.

beautiful desk Zhi, The turned columns add alot to the piece. Hard to beat walnut. Nice to see a desk that is actually functional.

.... here, here. Exactly what everyone else has said. Stunning.

Again, beautiful work!!! I'm curious how you incorporated the columns into the piece. I think I know your answer but they add a very nice touch and would like to hear from the "expert" how you did it to confirm. Thank you. Your finished walnut radiates beauty!!!
