    Table saw fence extension

I thought some one like to see my modification to a 30" Unisaw so that I could increase its rip capacity. I made and fastened to the bottom of the side table V ways made from salvaged pallets. (see pic) I installed a fence that has a duel fence. When the flip up fence is up it measures from where the beismeyer quits measuring out to the edge of the side table. When the flip up fence is down it measures out to 52" using the main fence attached to the V ways. I inlayed a tape measure in the side table and mounted it on the back side of the fence and fed it through a slit in the fence. By doing this it reads to the front of either the main fence or the flip up fence. Where the tape mounts to the side table it is slotted to accomadate different width saw blades. This allows me to rip wider without taking up floor space and still have access to my planer. It works well and is convient and accurate.
