Has anyone made a Crokinole Board Game

A friend of mine told me about this game yesterday. He said he and his family spent most of their Christmas vacation playing this game and they loved it. The sites that I have seen have not used a lathe to make it but it seems logical to try it on the lathe.

I've never even heard of the game. But it does look like an interesting project for someone that's into segmented turning.

The playing surface is usually pretty thin for spinning on a lathe, at least at that diameter. It seems to me our old board was made from 1/4" ply or possibly even 1/8" hardboard. I would think a router and trammel setup would be a better bet for making the playing surface.

The disks could be turned, but consistency might be an issue.

    Take care
    Bob
