Tips for Delta 31-250 drum sander table

I am new to SMC, and have a question on the Delta 31-250 type 2 drum sander.

The table on my Delta 31-250 Drum Sander is out of alignment because the timing belt is skipping teeth. The Delta manual has a Table Movement Troubleshooting Guide (see attachment) but it doesn't seem to work very well. For one thing, the timing belt is either too loose, causing teeth skips, or too tight, causing the table to bind.

Can anyone provide some better procedures or tips for adjusting the table?

    Jim,
I have the 260 model which is very similar. If you go to amazon and look through the reviews for the 31-255x, you will find a lot of hints for this.
