    Mother Of All Burls

    A few weekends ago we were in the North Carolina Mountains, we had a free pass to "Grandfather Mountain". In the nature museum they had a carved burl "bathtub". It was truly amazing. I've attached a link, but the pictures don't do this thing justice.

    My son and daughter-in-law go to Harding University in Searcy, AR. One of the oak trees on the campus has an enormous burl, almost the size of this one. I've always wondered if they could fund a scholarship from that tree . . .

    WOW that is BIG!! And in a great part of the US . I love the W NCarolina Mts and Biltmore and BlueRidge Pkwy etc . Thanks for showing.
