    My First European Pen

    Hi All,
I just turned my first European pen. I got the kit and blank from Woodcraft. The pen is turned from Granadilo(where do they get these names for wood) and finished with 2 coats of Hut Crystal Coat and wax. Click on the thumbnail for a better view the picture.
    Thanks for looking,
    Dave

    Dave -

That looks very nice. Interesting wood. Any dust/allergy problems to look out for?

    Regards.

    Thanks Ted,
The one thing I did notice is this wood is oily it would clog up my sandpaper very quickly. Had to use a new strip for each time I sanded with the grain. Normally I can sand with the lath running then stop the lath to sand with the grain with the same stip.
