    DC gates fitting help needed

I am debating how to fix 4" dust gate inside 4" metal pipe. It is a some play for my taste ( about 2-3 mm). I can put a few rounds of tape, or will use some waterproofing material from HD or
How to keep agates in place?
And can I drill a holes thru the pipe and gate side and screw it? What to use - metal screw?, bolts?
    Thank you, Ed.

I would wrap the gate end in duct tape so the fit is snug. For attachment, use metal screws.

    Eduard,

Some pictures of your setup would help. My answer would depend on what your gate looks like but it is likely to follow Greg's advice.

I predrilled and use 1/4 sheet metal screws. When I was done, I just caulked it.

Sheet metal screws to fix the pipe to the gate, clear silicone sealant in a thin bead on the OUTSIDE of the joint to seal it.

Thank you guys, I know it's suppose to be this way - metal screws and caulking, but in last minute I start worry about cracking gate's body with drilling
