I like the idea of a vertical bit. Less stress on the router.
What height fence did you make? Any problems getting/keeping it square?

The router table I used is the one from NYW. I removed the existing fence that moves to accommodate different size bits and bolted on the taller fence (14 inches). No problems with it being square since I bolted it on to an existing fence.
