    Poly over Tung Oil?

I used tung oil on a tool cabinet I've been working on and I'm not satisfied with the durability of the finish. Can I just wipe some poly over the Tung oil or do I have to remove it?

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you use oil based poly.
I used to use a lot of Watco. Two coats, then a third coat mixed 2/3 watco, 1/3 poly.
Gave it a little more durability.

My favorite finish is a thinned mixture of BLO, tung oil and urethane oil. Works great, penetrates and gives depth of finish and protection with the urethane.

I have done so much with so little for so long I am now qualified to do anything with nothing......

P.S. If you are interested in plans for any project that I post, just put some money in an envelope and mail it to me and I will keep it.
