BLO= Boiled Linseed Oil
The last Bowling Alley Wax I got was at my local hardware store. Are you looking for the paste or liquid?
Google "Bowling Alley Wax" and you will come up with a number of sources including Amazon.

As an avid bowler; I can tell you that the alley itself has an oil applied, daily.
The approach has a wax. Use a quailty carnauba wax and you are good to go. "bowling alley wax" is akin to "tung oil"

Finishing is an 'Art & a Science'. Actually, it is a process. You must understand the properties and tendencies of the finish you are using. You must know the proper steps and techniques, then you must execute them properly.
Thanks Y'all, that makes sense.
What is different about bowling alley wax?
Nothing that's going to make a difference. Most obvious difference is that it doesn't say "bowling Alley" wax on it.
Most new bowling alley lanes and approaches are now synthetic.
