    Question for Ridgid OSS Owners

Im trying to find a solution to setting up a 1" spindle for my General International benchtop OSS. I cant find a drum that size for my machine so I will turn to drums from other machines. I need the diameter of your drive spindle... 1/2"? 3/8"? I will get the 1" drum for your machine and adapt it somehow to one of my spindles. Thanks

One other option would be Grizzly, the G0538 has a 1" spindle and it is listed at $5.75 in the parts list, dunno if it would be easier or harder to adapt.

What I am trying to do is adapt a spindle I have or buy another for my machine that fits the inside diameter of a 1" drum. I need a 1" drum that fits a 1/2" or 5/8" spindle.

    The G0538 lists a 1/2" arbor with a spindle length of 4 1/2" and they have 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1 1/2, 2 and 3 inch spindles.

    Spindle Size on teh Ridgid

Just took mine home today and they accepted the HF 20% discount coupon!

It's 1/2" steel shaft with a threaded top. A 1/2" sanding sleave fits over it. For larger sized sanding sleeves, rubber sleeves fit over the 1/2" steel spindle to fit larger sanding sleeves, but you probably knew that.

hope this helps, although I think you're already good to go,
    Bob
