After the Wed night storm, I woke up to find this in the back yard.dscn2665.jpgDSCN2666.jpg This is the tree I've wanted to take down, but LOML vetoed. Does this mean I won?? So I'm trying to sleep in this am, Glenna is up getting ready for a music rehearsal, and she comes in and said, "Well, I guess you get your wish. There's another limb down. Don't know how we didn't hear it. Just barely missed the house." And this is what I found when I looked. DSCN2667.jpg DSCN2669.jpg The first one steps off at about 40' This one may be slightly shorter. For size comparison, the patio in the picture is 20' square. One of the rescue dogs heard the first one and barked. None of us heard the second one!
The bad part of this, is the electric service from the pole to my shop runs under the remaining part of the tree. I'll see if I can get ONCOR to come out and disconnect the shop while I drop the rest of this. They don't have a number to call except for outages or live wires already on the ground. I'll have to wait until my provider opens at 9:00.
How does Bradford Pear burn in the fireplace? Jim.
