    cleaning marble?

I got too excited and forgot to seal a nice piece of beige marble before lasering. I applied oil paint in the engraved areas and cleaned afterward. But there's still some discoloration left behind, and the cracks are darker too, of course.
What's a good cleaner to use to attempt some removal of oil-based color?

Marc, I have been using some stuff called Goo Gone. This stuff removes paint, glue, edge discoloration from hot vectoring, grease and goodness knows what else. My wife picked up a piece of granite with a greasy finger and left a big fingerprint on a white part of the engraving. In desperation I tried this stuff on it and it literally evaporated. Try it on the paint. Hope this helps.
