Don't think I'll have my desired presentation ready by Saturday (other projects took precedence)... I'm thinking of presentations I can do a bit more off-the-cuff and still be useful to CNC folk...

    Jim,

I'm a good 3-3.5 hour drive away... I found last year's to be very worthwhile. Cool project ideas, great presentations, and yummy food.

@ Dan No need to worry about a presentation. Unless you want to bring a CNC project you did and talk about that @ Show and tell.

This one will have a little diffrent format than the last one.

How so? Will there be no user presentations this time around?

I was thinking something more along the lines of file formats, image file prep, etc. appropriate to 3D work (lithophanes, 2.5D signs, etc.).

@Dan there will be a few. was just trying to save you sometime and trouble cause we can always fill time some how... *Looks over at the beer cooler....LOL*

But file formats and such sound like an interesting topic....or better yet an easy way to trace a bitmap to a vector file.

<in the voice of Star Trek's Bones>I'm a scientist, not an artist!

That's an art I've so far been unable to master (and unwilling to spend time trying)... I have my good days, but those guys who charge $10-25 for a vector trace are well worth their price.

When should we start showing up? I intended to be there around 10(ish), but I don't want to miss anything good...
