    CA glue removal from polycarbonate

Last night I was using CA to strengthen a crack in a cherry bowl and, thinking the stuff was completely dry, started my lathe and had the CA splatter on the polycarbonate lenses of my glasses.

Question now is: Does anyone know if nail polish remover will damage polycarbonate lenses? I really need to get that CA off.

    Keith,
I've worked in the plastics industry for more than 10 years, specificaly polycarbonate. Any solvent that will disolve ca glue is likely to damage your lens as well. Your best bet is to take your glasses to an eye glass proffessional and see if they can help you. Then go get a face sheild. They are a whole lot cheaper than new glasses, eyeballs and stiches.
