    Burlish maple about 10" in diameter. Walls about 3/16" thick.

    That's a beautiful piece. Nice proportions and beautiful wood. Maybe I misunderstood Randy, it seems as though his tools have made you a great turner!

    Wow, very nice! Nice shape, Im finishing up a smaller bowl, very similar shape out of asian satinwood, but it's closer to 3/8", than 3/16".
    I'll up a pic before the impending get up and go.

    What finish did you use? It has only been a couple of days, so I am guessing you borrowed some of Hart's lacquer!!

    I only wish! But no, it's just a bit of oil, wet sanded to 1,200 grit, waxed and polished a bit.

    If I had one of those "things" would I be able to turn something that pretty? That is really a pretty bowl.
