Suggestions for a new turning group in NY.

As I said in Tom Mullane's thread I and a few other guys are looking to get a woodturning group started in our nearby area. My shop is really not well set up at this point so a meeting place might be a little tough for a while. I'm just wondering what suggestions some of you might have in getting a group going. Thanks in advance.
