    Grizzly G0500-Is it worth it?

I've been given the go ahead by SWMBO to buy this bad boy. I currently have a Griz 6x47" jointer that currently takes up little room. I fear the G0500 will be a monster addition to the 2 car garage shop. Everything in the shop is on wheels so swmbo can park inside. Is the G0500 pretty quiet since it is almost 500 pounds? My current jointer is the model with the sheet metal cabinet and it is pretty loud. Should I go for it?

Thanks Jim. I think I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger.

I was already teetering on the edge. Jim just had to give me a little nudge.

I have the G0500. It works wonderfully and I think it's a great buy.

Sure, blame me...OK, I can enjoy spending other people's money as good as anyone!! (Congratulations on your new jointer...and be mindful of the picture police!)
