I love working with hand tools but that's a little extreme for my tastes. Thanks for the pictures. Every time I start to kick myself for trying to do things the hard way I'll think of that.

Take that even one step further think about the person making lumber before the saw was invented !

It actually may have been easier before saws, when people adapted themselves to using split lumber.
