    Mountin Excalibur guard

Christmas brought me an Excalibur guard for my Unisaw.
Today, I tried mounting it. The maximum boom extension is 62". The distance from the edge on the extension to the blade is 64". Allowing for room to intial the dust collection hose and the guard mounting bracket I am about 5" short.
Tried to call Excalibur but they are closed until the first of the year. Really do not want to cut off 5" on my extension table. Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

Herb, Try mounting from the overhead, it will never get in your way then, Two pieces of angle into the joists should work well.
