flat grind ts blade

Hello,
I want to put some slip-feathers in a jewelry box I’m going to build to strengthen the miter joints, and I need to use my table saw to do it since I can’t find a 1/8th inch router bit that has enough heighth to make the cut. The problem I’m having is finding a blade that has flat grind teeth. My WWII has ATB, and all the blades at the borg are also ATB. I’ve searched Amazon and most of the blades are either ATB or it doesn’t specify what they are. Can anyone recommend a blade that has flat grind teeth that would work for cutting slip-feathers? Thanks.

What you want is a "true" ripping blade with a flat grind. (Many of them at retail seem to have a combination ATBR these days for some reason) Most of the major manufacturers have them...you may need to talk to a tool dealer and order, or buy the custom grind available from Forrest.

I am pretty darn sure this is the blade I have and it is flat bottomed. If the blade does good at ripping and crosscutting but is not great on plywood then it is probably not ATB. I cannot remmember off teh top of my head what they call the grind on this blade, but the cut it makes is flat bottomed. It is great for working with regular wood, but not at all for plywood.

Brad, a blade would never be used for both ripping crosscutting with a flat grind. The blade you cite has some teeth that are not flat...

I just recently ran across a blade that I didn't know existed...Forrest makes a version of the WoodWorker II with a flat bottom grind specifically, "for box joints and keys." It is listed as their model W21001. $99.99

I have also used a blade by Makita that they called a "flat bottom crosscut blade". Seems like an oxymoron but it worked. Most "true" rip blades are flat bottom also.
