I made a HUUUUGE tool purchase today!!

I've been saving for more than 3 years. Squirreling away a few dollars here and there...asking for Grizzly gift certificates for every gift-giving situation...WAITING for the day to come. Well, today I was finally able to pull the trigger on my jointer! I order the MODEL G0490X, with the spiral cutterhead.

I'm floating on air, and can't wait for it to arrive! I ordered it in time for it to get shipped today, so they're saying 3-5 business days. I'm hoping for Friday!

    We're going to need .....
    • Pictures
    • A thorough review
    • Say ... a week with it, each, to verify the quality of your review

Big congrats ! You're going to have one heck of a jointer, on your hands !

    Keith,

    Congratulations! You will like it.

I used mine yesterday for a few minutes flattening a blackwood spindle blank. Works as advertised.

Aaron, I'll be photo-documenting every step of the way...once it actually gets here. I only ordered it today! The earliest I'll actually SEE it is Friday.

    Congratulations!!!!

The G0490 is my first and last jointer. It's a very good machine. I wish that Grizzly had the X version when I bought mine, but the knives are fine for my needs.

  15. Congratulations on the purchase and managing to save up for so long to get it. I know many people who would have given up much sooner and settled for less.
