    Color printing on metal

    Has any one tried this?Thu, 12/02/2010 - 09:12 — DavidI
I print color photos on metal frequently.

It is easy. Buy some parchment paper and cut to 8.5\11 sheets. Print photo on at least 1200/1200 dpi color laser printer on shiny side of parchment using "emulsion side down" option. NEVER use wax paper as this will ruin your printer. Use a tshirt press like in plastics room for flat stock and hand iron for other surfaces. Experiment with different temperatures for different metals and finishes. I once printed on a stainless sphere using a paper globe pattern to compensate for the curves. Hope this helps
