Looking for a few Good blades, and Knives.

Moving up from a 8.25" Shopsmith to a 10" CS which of course means I've got to pick up a couple new blades for it. I've had recommendations for WWII blades but wondered if that's mostly hype. Can I get a few makers/models/vendors of high quality blades for a serious hobbiest? I've been running Delta model 60's with good results elsewhere and also some thin kerf Makitas on the SS but that's it for experience with any thing other then the cheapies.
Also just ordered a Yorkcraft 15" planner which comes with steel knives (at least I hope it does), do you folks change to carbide or just keep an extra set of steel? Same question on those, any good brands and or vendors? I remember replacing my original jointer kinves with Deltas and was suprised to find the new ones twice as thick as the originals.

    Thanks

For your table saw, get the WWII, and don't look back.
