I have a 14'' Delta band saw, I also have (my pride and joy) 1940's era 16'' Walker-Turner band saw that I have completely rebuilt.

Anyone no why the miter slot on the Walker-Turner is between the frame and blade? Yes the table is on correctly.

    Frank,

I have a 12" craftsman and also a 24" 3wheel Dupli-carver that is quite old but works like a charm.

    Hi Guys;
I have a Grob 18" bandsaw, about 50 years old and completely rebuilt. They still make them and in AMERICA!! Great machine.

I guess my public must be pretty huge then.

20" Rockwell/Walker Turner wood and metal, 18" Grob also wood and metal. BTW, the Grob is the only bandsaw I'm aware of with a compound tilting table which made it a favorite in pattern shops where draft angle in casting patterns was made easy. I once owned a 16'' Walker-Turner that was a great saw and no Richard I don't know why the miter slot is on the left side of the blade. I also have 5 other bandsaws where two are really for metal cutting only.
Work safe, have fun, enjoy the sport.

Craftsman 12 inch which is going on 20 years but giving some serious thought to either the Griz G0555 or G0570.

The poll has now closed. Here is the final standing. I read through the replies and added some "write in" brands that folks mentioned owning.

    Grizzly __________62
    Delta ___________49
    Jet _____________49
    Mini-Max ________33
    Laguna __________15
    Craftsman _______13
    Agazzani _________8
    Rigid _____________6
    Powermatic _______5
    Grob _____________3
    ACM _____________2
    Bridgewood _______2
    Rikon ____________2
    Walker-Turner _____2
    General ___________1
    Inca ______________1
    Parks _____________1
    Ryobi _____________1

I had expected Delta to "win", so am suprised by its "defeat" by Grizzly and the "tie" by Jet. I was also surprised at the small numbers for Powermatic, Rikon, and General.
