Hello,
I'm new to the Sawmill Creek forums and my particular interests are using salvaged local lumber (used or milled from logs) in boat building. I've managed to find a local arborist or two who mill trees they fell into rough cants with bandmills. They usually have Monterey Pine, Monterey Cypress, Redwood, and a little Douglas Fir. Am looking for a supply of Bay Laurel/"Pepperwood".
I'm in the San Francisco area. Here's one of my latest projects:
