    Need Senior Citizen Prize Ideas

My mother(89) recently moved into an assistant live facility. Some of the activities, like bingo, involve winning small prizes.

I thought I would help them out my making a few items but the ideas don't seem to be flowing , so..........

I'm looking for some thing fairly small and light weight(I have to mail them 800 miles)

These folks have their own three room apartments with bedroom, bathroom and living area but do not do any cooking, cleaning or the like.

I'm looking for ideas for something I can make in half dozen lots, fairly small and light, unique and not real time consuming.

    All ideas appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Small boxes or dresser top valets to keep change, etc in. Maybe small wooden picture frames. Woodworking for Mere Mortals dot com had a video on making a two-sided heart shaped frame that didn't look like it would take long.

    Candlesticks?
If you only took one trip to the hardware store, you didn't do it right.

My mother before her death was in a retirement home .A pastime many of the very elderly residents enjoyed was colouring in pictures from children's colouring books or paint by numbers ,so an idea around a storage box containing colouring pencils and pictures to colour in may work This present could be shared with the other residents so would encourage social interaction

    regards Brian
