    Printing Question

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum or not. Please move it where it is more appropriate

I have recently become interested in printing with color onto wood.
I have found flatbed printers that can do it.
Does anyone have experience with them or info about them?
What do you think about flatbed printers?

Rick Woltman at Woltman Trophy in Bridgeton has a dandy. It takes half a garage and does beautiful work. His was a 6 figure version but can do a wide variety of work. He'll be glad to talk with you.

There is a lot of "junk" out there in the lower price range so be careful.

Mimaki makes a "tabletop" UV printer, not cheap though.

You may also want to check with Rodne Gold as he has quite a bit of experience with
    printers.

In the mean time consider using Magic Touch Transfer Paper for laser printers. This is cheap and easy to
use. All you need is a standard laser printer (Oki's can be had for under $500) I use a Xerox Phaser,
Most will work. And you'll need a heat press. Then you are only limited to the size of the printer and press
platen. This is a cheap way to explore the possibilities. I use this process for many items, metal, wood
    and esp tiles.
