    The 3/4" line will also increase the air capacity as well. If you install the compressor in the basement, you can build a noise baffle to enclose it. Constructed correctly, it will greatly decrease the noise.

    On a side note, i have the 60gal. from HD, and so far i like it really well. As long as you avoid the smaller oil-free models, its hard to go wrong.

    NO JOKE. The 1/4" hose worked fine for my 18ga nailer but the 15ga wont even fire with it connected.
