    Double Powermatic gloat

On a whim bid on a couple of items at a school auction in Northern Florida, 1000 miles away from me. Well sure enough I am the proud new owner of a 1988 PM 143 bandsaw for $61 and a PM 1150 DP for $127.50. The BS is a three phase and the DP is single, both are 3/4 hp, I'm thinking I will swap motors so the DP can have a VFD. Both machines look pretty good, have all the parts aside from the dust door on the BS. Gas was about $300 total, but I got to visit my sister in Atlanta so it was a two birds kind of deal. But not too bad to have 500 into two very nice machines. Right now waiting on tires and bearings for the BS. Found out a very close match on the paint is Harvest Gold metallic from a 1977 Cadillac line. Stay tuned for finishing pics.DSC_4355.JPGDSC_4362.JPG

DSC_4359.JPGDSC_4356.JPGThis color is a bit darker and has some more "metallic" to it.
