OK all is assembled. The cnc is built on 4 steel struts which sit on a steel stand that has a dual layer of 3/4" particle board.
Another diual layer of particle board sits on top of the struts as the rough table surface.
I then used the cnc to cut the pockets for the carriage botls that attachet all the layers to the struts.
I then trammed the carriages and started the surface. I took it nice and slow. Took almost 2 hours with a 1/2 cutter. (Mike Heindrick exaplained the tramming) In the past I would use a square. I have to say the dial indicator makes it much faster and more accurate. It also help you find the high and low spots for setting up your surface.
