    Another Mini Bird House

    These things are more fun to make then pen and I love to make pens.

    Stats:
    Material = Eastern Red Cedar lower w/Spalted Maple limb upper
    Dimensions = About 5" tall
    Finish = Deft sanding sealer w/1 coat of WOP

    Very creative and an attractive design, Is the body of the house hollow?

    Yes it is hollow by use of a 1-1/8" Fostner bit.

    James I really like the birdhouse and I'm going to try one myself real soon. A friend of mine made a few of them and I think he is hooked. I love to make pens myself so this is something that would be new to me.How long does it take to make one?

    It's actually not much different then a two barrel pen. Maybe a little longer in actual turning but basically no assembly required. Just guessing but overall maybe 25% longer. A good turner could probably equal a pen.
