    dyed brown Buckeye Burl pen..

I made this pen originally with a different blank. It cracked and so I turned the material off and made a new pen out of it. I like the results, the color goes well with the kit. The kit is called a Imperial and was on clearance from a big retailer when I got it. The finish is CA glue and sanded to 12k. Comments welcome, good or bad. Thanks Russell

Beautiful job, I love fountain pens. Is that one for you, or for sale? Nice job on the dying, it works well.

That's a great looking pen... First time I've seen brown dyed buckeye burl... I like it a lot.

I received a pen from a friend about 6 years ago that was made from this kit. He used Amboyna Burl....light tan throughout. I must say, that yours looks much better with the contrast given with the dyed buckeye. And Brown!!! That's cool!

Dan I can not take responsibility for the dye job. It was a experiment by a friend, and I think it will be a permanent addition to his line. I am thinking it will stay in my personal collection. Those kits are getting very hard to find, I think I have 1 left. Thanks for the comments, it helps getting feedback on what others think.

That is a beauty. I like the wood color.
