    Cherry NE

We have a monsoon that has set in so ive been limited to turning what I had in the shop. I grabbed a piece of cherry that I cut last year and had at it. I gave it a very small foot to get it up off the surface just a tad.

Ken that is a real beauty. The bark stayed on nicely.

That's a beauty there Ken. I see you have figured out how to get all side equal too! That can be a real challenge until you figure it out. Very well done.

Ain't cherry just the purdiest stuff? This is such a handsome bowl, and your pictures are very complimentary.

Hope your rain ends soon. That can get depressing.

Its stopped now, but made for a good excuse to turn out another. I made sure this one wouldnt tip over, hence the fat bottom.

I wish you wouldn't post such a sweet looking bowl. I gave up candy for lent. I suppose eye candy is OK. Nice job on both bowls. I like how the finish shows up on the bark.

That's a sweet couple of bowls. I like the natural edge on just about anything, those are no exception.

Really nice looking bowls Ken. Nice job keeping the bark on. Do you use some CA on the bark as you're turning?

Sweet bowls Ken, Nice natural edge with the bark intact!! No easy feat but
CA certainly helps. Cherry is a very nice wood to turn. You did good.
