    Wet Sanding with Micro Mesh

Hi everybody, I'm new to woodworking and was wondering what type of liquid/oil/or what have you, you use to wet sand. Thanks for any help.

Depends on what your're sanding, to sand acrylic and CA finished pens I use water.

When I'm wet sanding an oil finish, like Danish Oil, I simply wet sand with MORE Danish Oil.

But ... generally ... odorless mineral spirits is a pretty good lubricant.

For sharpening ... I use either water or WD-40 ... with no obvious logic for which one I choose, and when

Just goes to show how new I am, it would be a lacquer finish.
