Thread: My CNC design

    My CNC design

Well I got my current design/build converted to Autocad. It was no simple task since it contains every thing down to the little rubber gromets on the ACME nuts. Come in at over 1000 parts.

This is a testiment of what you can using simple primitives like cubes and cylanders.

I did an anipath to create this simple animation

I'm seeing so many nice CNC's i'm getting excited to give DIY a try at making a Joe's hybrid 4x4.

The Festool green color is neat. I love festool enough that I may go with some sort of green, black, and aluminum color scheme myself.

    Nice work.

If you do go with the joes design. Make sure you go with R&P. That design is not well suited to ACME screws unless you slow them down, which kind of defeats the purpose of a larger CNC.
The CNC I built here is about as large as I would go with AMCE screws.
