    Window Display Banner Material

    Hey folks,

I've got to create some laser cut banners for a retail window display. 50" x 150". I'm planning on using Tyvek - because it comes in black and white and is durable enough for the application.

Any reason I shouldn't be using it? anyone have any suggestions for an alternate material?

    Nobody has any response?

Let it be known, that on this day I have officially stumped the Sawmill Creek engravers forum.

Tyvek does melt rather quickly so be fast! I made the mistake once years ago by trying to print a piece on a laser printer.. I 'did' manage to get all the melted bits out of the machine.. This is back when laser printers were EXPENSIVE.. I freaked!!!

Tyvek does melt easily, and don't use any masking tape on it. When you try to remove it the stuff pulls apart in shreds.

Never tried it on the laser but have made many a banner with vinyl lettering on it. Used to buy it by the 300' x 4' roll.
