    Multi Layer Sign?

Does anyone know how to produce this sign? It's a 6" x 6" sign with 3 layers. There is a 1/16" clear acrylic layer on the front, a 1/4" piece behind that that appears to be painted black acrylic (you can see the black on the bottom of the profile view). There is a 5" x 5" x 1/16" piece behind that to allow the sign to stand out from the wall.

What I can't figure out is how to attach the 2 front pieces together. Anyone have any ideas?DSCN3424.jpgDSCN3416.jpg

Is the back side of the front piece painted the B/G color, over the Black lettering? If so, you could use VHB tape to attach the front piece to the second piece.
If the B/G paint/Vinyl is opaque, the VHB tape will not show from the front.
    Hope this helps.
