I don’t get to post often but I thought I would drop in with some pics of one of my most recent projects. This is a sign that is going on a restaurant in Washington DC. It is basically layers of plywood that will be coated with a very durable plastic (like the stuff they spray in truck beds) then painted by an artist. The letters (not shown) that will be added and painted by the artist, were lasered by me.
Coming soon are pictures of the 46 table and bench tops that I have been working of for several weeks. They are made from reclaimed heart pine that was salvaged from the silo’s of a local flour mill that was torn down.
On a side note, as romantic as working with reclaimed heart pine sounds “this” is some of the nastiest wood I have ever had to work with.
