    OK, Dave.....now you're just showing off.

    I agree re: tool wall v. cabinets, for the exact same reason - grab & go, and then it goes back home just as easily. 1/2" ply plus custom-fab brackets/holders/etc. from the scrap heap makes it easy to rearrange things as needed.
    When I started woodworking, I didn't know squat. I have progressed in 30 years - now I do know squat.

    Thanks Dave. I appreciate the information and it will be especially helpful since I haven't made a plane till yet. I favored your design from the start. The problem for me now is to decide which planes will go in the till. I am leaning toward housing the metal planes for the till.
