    Photo on Acrylic settings?

I tried searching the forum for this with no luck. I want to try my first photo on Acrylic. I am looking for some starting point settings. I checked with Laser-U and they said for an 80 watt laser(like mine) to raster Acrylic I should use a power of 17 and a speed of 100 @ 500dpi. Problem is my laser will not fire at a power less than 20.

What do all you experts think???

    Thanks in advance,
    Bruce

    Try do it at 25%
You can try up your speed by accessing your vendor/machine/motherboad parameters and increasing the x axis max speed setting to about 1.5x what it is (most likely 300 to 500 - got to 750 or 800) , if you have gone too far the steppers will whine or stall.
