    Maple Natural edge bowl

This is Red Maple about 11" long x 5" high. A coat of tung oil to bring out the color and top-coated with lacquer after the oil dried about a week.

Very nice work Dennis. Looks like you achieved a nice even wall thickness too which as you know isn't always easy to do on a NE. Like the footed aspect too. Can we see a photo of just the bottom?

That is really a nice bowl. The feet are just enough to give of hint of floating on the table. We had a demonstration of this technique a couple of months ago by a turner from the Milwaukee club named Jason Swanson. He referred to the shape as a Caravelle Bowl. I looked it up an the name is given to bowls of this shape. Thanks for sharing.

Really nice piece. Wall thickness looks good and the feet make it look like it is floating.

Very nicely done Dennis. You kept the bark on and the little feet really add, but take a second look and do give the bowl some lift.

Beautiful work, and the maple has a very warm color to it.
