    Rst on saw blades

I have a unheated shop and my bandsaw blades keep rusting. How is the best way to store the extra blades to prevent rust? Is there anything special I can do to the blade that is on the saw to help it?

I am not sure where you live, but a dehumidifier should help.

Blade that is on the saw, you can cut a piece of paraffin, which will help coat the blade. For stored blades, using a container of some kind, add a piece of tool box drawer liner from Lowes. It's vapor emitting, which helps eliminate the rust problem. Moog used to send front end parts wrapped in VE paper, but I haven't seen any in years.

Like others say, store in airtight containers, also wipe with a rag with a few drops of boiled linseed oil, then wipe excess off.
