Drum sander hook and loop belts

    Greetings

I am in the process of attempting to build a drum sander and was wondering of someone could post a pic of the cut end of their drum sander belt? I want to know if the angle cut goes to the outside of the drum to start or the angle cut goes to the inside? I know how to figure the correct angle but not which side the angle goes on.

If i saw a picture of the end/s it would really help me understand.

    Thanks

    Dave

Out. The bias cut is parallel to the end of the drum, and the length of the bias cut is equal to the circumfrence of the drum. (I know you said you knew that, but others may not know how to calculate it.)

Once you have angle and length figured out, make a template out of 1/4" material. Just lay template over belt stock and cut to length and angle at one time. No figuring, or remembering required.
