    Weekend progress on boat

Well I got the deck glued to the hull. Sanded the deck and the hull and got a coat of epoxy on the deck and down the sides. Will work on glassing the deck tonight.

    Sparkey.
Fine looking job you are doing. Do you have an ETA for the launching?
    Looking forward to launching photos.
    Keep up the good work

Thanks all! Don't know when I will finish but will be in time for spring weather. Havn't got the deck glassed yet. Other things have conspired the last several nights to keep me from working on it. Maybe tonight!

The boat is finished and I have had it out 4 or 5 times now. paddles really well. Has a very slight drift to the right but not enough to worry about. There are some other newer post that show more progress and here are some more pictures.

That turned out great. How long do you think it took to make?

I am reminded of the passage in Wind in the Willows when Water Rat is idling along the river daydreaming about "simply messing about in boats".....

Good job on this. I'm glad you got her out on the water and are enjoying the fruits of your labor.

Anyone make a crack about the yellow submarine yet?

Ryan, I started the boat in January and finished it end of May. Don't know how many hours I put in.

Jim, I kayak on a lake with a lot of jet skiers and wanted to be highly visible. My other boat is bright red!

This is Watauga lake near Elizabethton TN. A little further east than Norris lake.
