I a restoring an Emmert Turtleback vise and it has a broken piece and I am looking for a way to repair it. The break is a fairly clean one. Options appear to be:

1) Replace it. I would like to go this route but I am having trouble sourcing it. CM Industries (my usual source for Emmert parts) doesn't have it.
2) Have it welded. Seems like this is hit or miss
3) Have it brazed. Also seems to be hit or miss
4) Use something like Castaloy.
5) Live with it (least attractive option).

Castaloy makes some pretty bold claims as far as their ability to repair cast parts and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with it and what your impressions of it are.

Other than this piece, the vise is in fantastic shape and I really want to get it back into operation.

BTW: I am open to suggestions as to how to repair this. Also, if it helps I can upload a picture later tonight.

Thanks in advance for your time.
