Very cool Dave. Welcome back!
Dave,
That is a nice peppermill. Great form. What is the wood?
It,s been awhile..I should have said...
It,s fiquired soft maple and dyed black veneer...516 pcs. And obviously still on the chuck...The finish takes forever...hence.. "still on the chuck"
this certainly looks to be segmented.........the dyed black veneer...........how thick is it and how did you get the dye to go all the way through? Is the veneer maple as well?
Remember, in a moments time, everything can change!
Vision - not just seeing what is, but seeing what can be!
The veneer was 25 thousands thick...sold in sheets...inserted between each segment and between each layer.I,m not sure the kind of wood the veneer was..
Welcome back Dave! Very interesting peppermill! Has a sort of castle effect! All that maple looks great!
Steve
