    Carving Question

I carved a few pipe bowls for some friends and was wandering about finishing them. One is cherry, the other black locust. I boiled them for a few minutes in the soup pot and dryed them off with paper towel and put them in plastic bags. I have some tried and true blo I could put on, but I wanted some advice on what to use. Thanks.

I used carnauba wax and a buffing wheel on a briar burl. Takes a bit of work but comes out nice.

I found some mineral oil and used it on the pipe. It looks good and should work fine. I don't have the carnauba wax (or a buffer), but maybe someday when I start turning I'll try it. thanks for the reply
