    painted turned bowl

i was not pleased with the finished bowl and I have a friend that paints nice designs on objects (chairs, tables, lamp shades etc.) so I asked her to paint this reject bowl and this is the results.

Looks pretty cool! Was the inside left natural?

    Paul,
There is no reason to dislike the shape of that bowl. However, there are many reasons to love the finished painted product. Good idea you had to involve your friend. You did each other proud.

Thanks to all for the positive comments.. I really like the bowl -- not that I will have all my bowls painted. I left the complete painting decision up to my friend and she did elect to paint the inside a solid color.

I was asked what type of wood and I can not answer that, sorry - it had been in my reject pile for a really LONG time.
